People are Dying

Diana Perez • Oct 25, 2023

Help me welcome author Diana Perez today as she shares a story close to her heart. Our prayers and condolences are with you, Dee.

I sometimes go out to eat by myself to write. I normally, don't go to fancy places, because their food is usually over priced and not always that good. But I was told about this place by a friend, and I decided to try it.

I was having soup and it was delicious. The restaurant was busy. As I finished my soup, a woman approached me, well dressed and well to do. She asked me, "Do you know when you'll be done?" I found the question to be so rude. Who goes around pushing people out of restaurants, in order to get a seat?

As I was thinking of a smart aleck response, I looked into a mirror that was on the wall in front of me. Jesus appeared in the mirror. When I see him it's hard not to smile. I looked at Him who then stood before me. He knew what I was thinking, and said to me, "That woman is going to die." My countenance changed to concern. "I'll tell her about you Lord," I said telepathically.

"I'm glad to hear you say that, because all these people are dying in one form or another. Speak life to them," he said.

I never said anything to the woman, but decided to pray for her salvation and all of the others around me.

It's so easy to react. It was a rude thing to say, but I would rather have upset feelings, that see people go to hell.

2 Peter 3:9 TPT, "This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you, because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.”

Next time people are rude to you, remember, it's a cry for help, because they don't know Jesus. Better to forgive, than to see people die.

Luke 10:2, "He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few."

Do you know that we all have a calling? Ephesians 4:12 TPT, “And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.”

We all have been commissioned with the office of: Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. And you can be a teacher and a prophet also.

If you don't know what calling you have, seek God and ask him what is your office, so you can preach the good news to all of those around you. You don't have to go to a bible college to have an office, but it does help to prepare you.

If you want to live a spirit-led life, know what your calling is. Speak life, people are dying and you may be their last hope.
